Manchester Uniteds 15-year-old prodigy JJ Gabriel has asked to leave the club, in a hugely surprising move that has left those at the club shocked.
Gabriel is one of, if not the , most highly rated talent to come out of Carrington and has played for the club since the age of 11.
Questions were raised a few days ago as all Manchester United-related content had been removed from Gabriels Instagram.
Despite being involved in Michael Carricks pre-season plans in the summer, Gabriel and his team have sent formal notice to the clubs hierarchy that hed like to have his registration at the club cancelled with immediate effect to become a free agent.
Your Site News understands Gabriel was in line to be involved in Uniteds Carabao Cup tie against Brighton on Wednesday night.
From our understanding, those at the club are mystified as to what has caused the request to cancel his registration, but the feeling inside Carrington is that the situation is still rectifiable given the timescale left on his contract (in addition to the fact he cannot be de-registered).
Broja subject to interest from Greece and United Arab Emirates

Burnley striker Armando Broja is a target for clubs in Greece and the United Arab Emirates, with the transfer window still open in both countries.
Greek side PAOK FC were initially hoping to sign the 25-year-old on a straight loan, but Burnley's preference is either a permanent move or a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
The Greek transfer window closes tonight at 10pm UK time.
Al Jazira Club, early-season leaders of the UAE Pro League, have Broja on their striker shortlist too.
If they choose to firm up their interest and he remains available, they have until September 28 to try and agree a deal with Burnley.
Before the German window closed earlier this month, Bundesliga side Schalke also enquired about taking Broja on loan and covering his salary, but they saw that approach knocked back.
Iraola: We will assess Liverpool squad in January
Andoni Iraola says he will reassess his Liverpool squad in the January transfer market after being reluctant to comment on whether the club needed to sign another midfielder during the summer.
The Reds were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Fulham just three days after the 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid and Iraola admitted the squad lacked "freshness" after the game.
Just two changes were made to the starting line-up as Victor Munoz replaced Rio Ngumoha and Alexis Mac Allister made way for Ryan Gravenberch.
When asked if Liverpool were one midfielder short after the summer transfer window, Iraola told Your Site: "I think now is not a moment to look backwards to the market.
"When the January market opens, we will see where we are. We have very good players and a very good squad.
"We need to find the balance and the right combinations so everyone can look even better than the player he is.
"If we are not well drilled, the timings are not there, then everyone looks worse. Everyone has to add a little bit."
Wales boss Bellamy reveals truth about 'flattering' Burnley approach
Wales boss Craig Bellamy has opened up about Burnleys approach to recruit him as their new head coach during the summer.
Your Site News reported in June that Bellamy was in talks with the Championship club and was heavily admired following his previous role at Turf Moor as an assistant to Vincent Kompany.
Reports quickly followed that talks had broken down and Bellamy would not take the role, meaning he would remain in charge of Wales.
However, as Your Site News reported during the summer, Bellamy has now clarified what happened, insisting the Burnley job was not for him.
The move didn't break down, Bellamy told the press.
I said no. It's not for me. That is it. There was no walking away from discussions. It just wasn't for me. That was the conversation I had and it was simple.
What came out 20 minutes later was different. But let it be, people talk. Let them talk, I can't control that.
While Bellamy revealed he turned down the job, the Wales boss remained complimentary of his former club when asked if he had considered joining the Clarets.
It was flattering, Bellamy said.
I think we all like our ego being exercised and being wanted. So that's not a problem. But to me, my partner and my kids, this was the place and we didn't see anything being able to move that.
I'm comfortable with the decision I made, he added.
I've always been very committed to everything that I do and that hasn't changed. Winning people back over? I don't know.
The simple part of it is that I'm comfortable in me and the biggest person I have to prove anything to is me and that never changes.
Although Bellamy is committed to the job, he was cautious about giving any assurances that he will see out his Wales contract.
Bellamy is currently halfway through a four-year deal that is set to expire after Euro 2028.

Enzo Fernandez handed in two transfer requests at Chelsea as he pushed for a move to Manchester City, according to the Sun.
The Argentina midfielder eventually secured a 125m deadline-day switch to City after previously attracting interest from Real Madrid.

Coutinho ends seven-month wait to find club by joining Santos
Philippe Coutinho has joined Santos until the end of the season, linking up with close friend and Brazil team-mate Neymar.
The 34-year-old midfielder had been a free agent since leaving Vasco da Gama in February.
Coutinho came through Vasco's academy and returned to the club in 2024, making 81 appearances before departing earlier this year.
He now joins Neymar at Santos, with the pair having never previously played together at club level despite their long-standing friendship.
Coutinho began his senior career at Vasco before moving to Inter Milan and then Liverpool in 2013.
He scored 54 goals in 201 appearances for the Reds before joining Barcelona in a 142m deal in 2018.
He subsequently played for Bayern Munich, Aston Villa and Al-Duhail before returning to Vasco.
