Lewis-Skelly breaks silence on summer transfer speculation
Myles Lewis-Skelly says the transfer noise surrounding his future in the summer never affected him as he focused on continuing his development at Arsenal.
He was linked with a move away from his boyhood club during the summer, with Your Site News reporting Manchester Uniteds interest, but Lewis-Skelly says he deliberately kept himself away from the outside noise.
The 19-year-old has started every Premier League game for Arsenal so far this season, establishing himself in midfield after initially breaking into Mikel Arteta's side at left back.
Asked about the speculation and his relationship with Arsenal supporters, Lewis-Skelly told Your Site News: "I'm not really on social media, so for me, it was never noisy.
"I trust my mum, I trust the people, and my team and my corner. They're an extension of me.
"So the way we treat people, the way we communicate, is almost second to none. We talk a lot about the importance of being good people first. That's definitely something that we pride ourselves on."

Trabzonspor said the German coach signed a two-year contract after leaving Bulgarian club Ludogorets.
He replaces Fatih Tekke, who resigned when the team was eliminated from the Europa League last month.
Egypt star Salah has scored four goals in five league games so far sinc joining in the summer following a stellar nine-year spell at Liverpool.
"Working with a player of his calibre is perhaps one of the best things that can happen to a coach," Reis said in a club statement, adding he would give Salah "freedom in attack."
Reis previously coached in the Turkish league taking unheralded Samsunspor to a third-place finish two seasons ago behind Istanbul powers Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
"I know this place and I know how intense the games are here," Reis added.
