Kevin Schade netted a double as Brentford came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth, leaving Marco Rose still waiting for his first Premier League win as head coach.
Schade headed Brentford in front in the first half before Justin Kluivert levelled four minutes before the break. Marcus Tavernier, who scored his third of the season, then put Bournemouth ahead eight minutes after half-time, leaving Rose dreaming of a first Premier League victory.
However, Dorde Petrovic's lax ball out from the back was seized upon just three minutes later by Schade, who struck again to restore parity.
Bournemouth have now led in all four of their Premier League games this season without winning any of them. They had already become only the second side to do so in their opening three matches, after Chelsea in 1992/93.
It continues a worrying trend for Bourneouth, who have dropped more points from winning positions than any other Premier League team since the start of last season. They had also surrendered a two-goal lead against Newcastle last weekend.
Brentford, meanwhile, remain unbeaten in their opening four league games under Keith Andrews, although they have now dropped points from winning positions in three successive matches themselves.
The Bees also extend their unbeaten league run against Bournemouth to 12 games, having not lost this fixture since August 2014.
For Bournemouth, there were further signs of progress but another missed opportunity. For Brentford, it was another recovery that keeps their unbeaten start intact.

38: GOAL! Bournemouth keep up the pressure. Rayan pokes the ball into Evanilson who bundles his way into the box. It falls to Kluivert who improvises well, stretching to fire at goal.
45+6: BRENTFORD WANT A PENALTY! They feel Adrien Truffert has handled the ball as he attempted to block it.
HALF TIME! The whistle blows as VAR checks the handball. It's not given and the players retreat into the tunnel.
53: GOAL! Tavernier scores again as Bournemouth turn it around at the Vitality, drilling home to make it 2-1.
56: GOAL! Petrovic produces howler, giving the ball to Schade to score a second.
Bournemouth boss Marco Rose:
"I think we do enough to win games. It's just about the momentum, the situation. But I'm quite sure that we're going to change it if we just continue with our hard work.
"I feel like we should have won the game, but it hasn't happened, so it's a draw. I'm very pleased with the performance. I love our attitude and how convinced we are about the way we want to play. In both boxes would be nice [to be more efficient], because if you concede two goals, you need to score three.
"Brentford is a tough opponent, so we avoided many situations right after they started to get difficult to handle."
Brentford boss Keith Andrews:
"We didn't deserve the three points, would be my assessment. We didn't play as efficiently and effectively enough as we would have liked today. We lacked a little bit of cohesion at times.
"I think it was more on us. We didn't do certain things well. But I have to say the grit and character and resilience that we showed to get a point away from home, still be unbeaten, is obviously a positive."
On Kevin Schade: "He's been excellent, the way he's attacked everything we've done, regardless of where he plays, what he gets asked to do with the ball, without the ball, there's such an honesty to his game.
"I felt like it's been bubbling with him. The goals, you can see the goal he scored against Leeds, the confidence he's playing with, and today [Saturday] the way he took those two goals again was really nice."

"Bournemouth are now the first team to lead in each of their opening four Premier League games of a season and fail to win any of them.
"Marco Rose said was clear after their Newcastle draw that game management was something they needed to remedy. You can't help but feel a touch sympathetic for a side freely creating as they are.
"They took 20 shots with 10 being on target, while Brentford only tested Dorde Petrovic's goal twice. You'd expect to win the game off those statistics alone.
"The concern will be the speed at which they allowed Brentford back in, though.
"Today, they went 2-1 up and conceded again within three minutes. Brentford didn't have to wait long to find a way back into the game, and that's becoming the recurring theme for Bournemouth.
"There's clearly enough in this team to win football matches. But until they can control those periods after scoring, and prevent opponents from immediately regaining momentum, they're going to keep leaving points on the table.
